Learn Class 3 Science - Transport and Communication

We have different modes of transport. In most parts of India we generally go to school by bus, car, bicycle, an auto rickshaw or by walk. But there are many places where it’s not easy for children to go to their schools. They have to travel long distances, cross rivers, jungles and deserts to go to school. Sometimes it can also be dangerous and difficult to travel.

Every day we speak with lot of people, at home, in the neighbourhood or in school. We talk to your mother/father about breakfast, school issues, likes and dislikes. What happens if we cant talk to people? Ideas and the feelings don't get exchanged. Thus communication plays an important role in everyday life in all the fields.

Communication is the exchange of ideas and thoughts with each others.

Earlier, for long distance communicaiton, people used letters, which took a long time to reach. Today we have fast personal means of communication such as telephone, short message services (SMS) and e-mails. This has made our lives comfortable, we can talk or chat with whomever we want.

There are times we need to communicate with a number of people in different parts of the world at same time. This is possible through mass communication such as radio, television, newspapers.

You may be aware that scientists do research on outer space. Can you imagine how it is possible? Artificial satellite captures the information about others planets. Scientists work on this data and draw conclusions like climatic condition, source of water, aliens and whether life exists on other planets or not.
