Learn Class 2 Math - Number Sense

Numbers are represented as the group of numbers that allows the class 2 child to play with them. These numbers are very helpful at every stage of life in examining the numerical value of each object.

For example, you wish to buy two chocolates; "two" identifies the exact number of chocolate you wish to buy. This is where number sense helps you the most.

No matter where you go, you will find numbers everywhere, but keep in mind that each number holds a unique value. Like, suppose you have two cars, two notebooks and two toys. Here, all the objects are different, but they all consist of the same numerical value. Moreover, you will observe that these numbers are written in the symbols form, including 1,2,3,4, etc.

These numbers are very important, especially for the Class 2 child, to help them understand the Number Sense concept.

What involves number sense?

Number sense involves several things:

• Recognizing the exact number of objects.
• Number sense helps the class 2 children get concepts like more or less and smaller and larger.
• Comparing the numerical value (like number 14 is larger than 12).

Students with a stronger base in Number Sense do not face difficulties performing basic Mathematics like Addition and Subtraction.
