Learn Class 2 Math - Patterns

You very well know that Mathematics is the game of numbers. It involves the study of multiple Patterns. Several types of patterns are in Mathematics like Image pattern, Logic pattern, Word pattern, Number patterns, etc.

Patterns in Maths

A pattern in Maths means the repeated orders of numbers, colors, shapes, etc. Patterns are related to any event or object. For example, the group of numbers is relatable to each other in a particular rule, and then those rules are known as a Pattern.

For example, suppose the sequence of numbers are 4, 6, 8, 10, in the sequence, each number is getting increased by 2. Therefore, the next numerical value of the sequence will be 10+2 = 12.

Some examples of numerical patterns are as follows:

  • A pattern of Even numbers - 2, 4, 6, 8, and so on.
  • A pattern of Odd numbers - 3, 5, 7, 9, so on.
  • Fibonacci numbers pattern - 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, and so on.

Patterns in Maths

A group of numbers that follows the sequence called Number patterns or patterns. The Numbers patterns are classified into different categories: Algebraic or Arithmetic pattern, Geometric pattern, Fibonacci pattern, etc.

Arithmetic Pattern

An Arithmetic pattern also called an Algebraic pattern. In the Arithmetic pattern, the sequence of numbers is dependent on Subtraction or Additions; if you find that more than two numbers in a sequence, you can get the Arithmetic pattern using addition or subtraction.
