Whenever you look in your surroundings, you will notice several types of Animals. Animals come in different shapes, colours, and sizes. You will find them everywhere. They also need food, water and shelter.

Let us view different types of animals available on the Earth.

Wild animals

Those animals that live in the forest and get their food and water are called wild animals. You can see wild animals in the Zoo because they are dangerous for humans. Some wild animals are Deer, Fox, Lion (King of Jungle) etc.

Domestic animals

Those animals that are dependent on humans to get food, shelter and care are domestic animals. Some domestic animals are Dogs, Cats, Cows, etc.

Pet animals

Pet animals are also domestic animals that are kept for companionship like dogs, cats etc.

Farm animals

Farm animals are the ones that are reared for a purpose to get meat, milk, hair etc. Some farm animals are Buffalo, Cow and so on.

Water animals

Those animals who live in water as viewed as Water animals. They also have skin to breathe and specialised organs like gills to swim. Some water animals are sharks, whales, Octopus, dolphins etc.

Land animals

Therefore, every child should eat healthy and nutritious food for its proper growth.

Birds

Birds are animals that have feathers, two legs, a beak and wings. They don’t have teeth. Some birds fly while some swim in the water. For, e.g. Duck.
