Learn Class 1 Math - Logical Reasoning

Logical reasoning comprises a set of aptitude questions that require logical analysis to arrive at a solution. The questions are present on different concepts which we must solve by applying the brain. Some questions even need out-of-the-box thinking to solve. Almost all competitive exams have logical reasoning.

Logical reasoning includes aptitude, alphabet series, number series, reasoning questions, solved questions, coding, decoding practice questions, critical thinking questions etc.

There are two types of logical reasoning.

  • Verbal reasoning
  • Non-verbal reasoning

Verbal reasoning

These are a set of logical questions represented in words. We should go through the sentences, understand them and arrive at a conclusion.

Non-verbal reasoning

These are a set of logical questions represented in numbers, letters, or figures.

Steps to solve a logical reasoning question

  • The first step in solving a logical reasoning question is to understand the concept by reading it repeatedly.
  • Then analyze and think of all possible solutions.
  • Compare with other possibilities and arrive at the correct answer.

Types of questions in logical reasoning

  • Image-based questions- This involves questions that are related to mirror or paper construction-based images.
  • Puzzles- Arranging formats of questions come under this section.
  • Sequence- Questions based on a given sequence like people or numbers.
  • Verbal- These questions do not require a pen or paper. They can be quickly solved by reading the question.
