Learn Class 2 English - Verbs

Words which show what people and things are doing are called Verbs. They are also called Action Words or Verbs.

Examples:

1. I walk to school every day.
2. The train runs on rails.
3. The fish swim in the sea.
4. It hops a lot.
5. The bell rang.

Sometime a verb ends in ‘ing’ to show what people or things are doing.

Examples:

1. He is painting.
2. Ria was waiting.
3. I like cooking.
4. She is watching television.
5. Ravi is studying English.
