The various components that are vital to all living things are as follows:

Oxygen

Oxygen is required to carry out aerobic respiration in a living organism. The Earth’s atmosphere has about 20 percent of oxygen.

Water

Every human body contains a water content of 70-90 per cent. Water covers 71 per cent of the planetary surface, and thus water is essential for all living beings to exist.

Proteins

Proteins are essential components that are the building blocks of the body. Proteins help in forming the structure of any organism.

Respiration

Respiration is the fundamental process that every living thing carries out to survive. Each organism has different methods of respiration.

Reproduction

Reproduction is the process by which organisms give birth to produce new organisms of their kind. The organisms reproduce sexually or asexually.

Growth and Adaptation

Every organism has to adapt to the surroundings it lives in. The organisms can survive if they can adjust to their habitat.

Homeostasis

It is the process by which organisms get their bodies adapted to the changes in temperature by adjusting the pH and water levels in the body.
