Learn Class 9 Science - Matter in Our Surroundings

Everything present in this universe is made of materials that researchers have named 'matter.' The matter is composed of tiny small particles. It isn't persistent yet is particulate.

Matter is anything that consumes space and has mass. Particles of the issue have space among them and are constantly moving. The issue or the matter will attract each other.

Melting & Boiling points

  • The temperature at which a strong melts turns into a fluid at the environmental strain.
  • The temperature at which fluid begins bubbling at the barometrical tension is its limit.
  • Bubbling is a mass peculiarity.

Features of the matter

The atoms are the parts that are present with the matter.

  • These particles are too little to ever be seen with an unaided eye.
  • These particles are continually moving.
  • These particles have spaces between them.
  • Particles of the issue draw in one another due to the power of fascination.

Diffusion

The term diffusion refers to the matter particles with the intermixing of their own. It is done with the help of the fixation of the spaces between the particles. The process of intermixing the particles is known as diffusion. The main applications of diffusion are mixing two gases, dissolvement of a solid into a liquid, etc.
