Learn Class 9 Math - Probability.

The probability is the measurement of the certainty of degree with respect to the event. And the operation with the help of which the set outcomes produce is called the term experiment. For the term probability there is a specific formula,i.e., favourable events/ total events. We have to apply this formula in order to get the probability. And the trial term refers to the event of one number.

Event’s probability

  • The event probability is always equal to the number of outcomes of the favourable items to the total number of possible outcomes.
  • The range of probability is only between 0-1. The probability will never be greater than 1.
  • P (E) = Number of favourable events/ Total number of possible events.

Dice probability

  • When we roll the dice then there are a number of chances that lie between 1 to 6.
  • First, we have to roll the dice then we can check the total possible number of events from rolling.
  • Suppose we have to check the probability of getting three numbers.
  • So, after rolling one dice the probability of getting three numbers is 1.
  • Total number of possible events is equal to 6.
  • The probability of getting three is equal to favour events/ total events.
  • So, the probability is ⅙.
