Learn Class 7 Math - Lines and Angles

Both lines & angles are two different terms.

The line means a straight part of a line. In contrast, an angle means the sequence between two lines.

Line segment

The term 'line segment' means a line that includes two endpoints. One endpoint is present at the beginning, and the other is at the end.

Ray

The meaning of ray is a line in which only there is a single endpoint.

Angle

When the initial point of two rays intersects at a single point, it forms an angle.

Types of Angles

Different types of angles are there that contain different meanings. Each type of angle is discussed below:

  1. Acute angle:

It is a type of angle that is smaller than 90°.

  2. Right angle:

It is a type of angle that always makes a 90° angle.

  3. Straight angle:

One of the angles is a straight angle that is always equal to a 180° angle.

  4. Adjacent angle:

The adjacent angle is a type of angle that consists of common vertices.

  5. Obtuse angle:

Such types of angles always lie between 90° and 180°.

  6. Reflex angle:

This angle is always greater than 180°.
