Practical Geometry includes various terms like a line segment, perpendicular lines, construction areas, triangle construction, etc.
Line segment
The term line segment refers to a line that consists of two endpoints.
When a line becomes perpendicular to a line segment, it forms a 90° angle.
Construction area
We have to construct a line parallel to the line with the help of points.
The construction part will get done with the help of a compass and ruler.
First, we have to draw a line. Name the line AB. Draw the other point C outside the AB line.
Take a point D on the AB line and join the two points, i.e., C & D.
Now, with the help of the compass, take G as a centre and draw an arc. The arc must cut the CD and AB line. Give Q name to the point CD and W to AB line.
Draw the arc with the same radius from the C point.
Measure the distance between W & Q, and mark the same from the C point so that it cuts H.
Now, join the line CH, and the line will become parallel to AB.
The two angles that get formed are the two corresponding angles.
