Articles are the words a, an & the. These articles will help to know about the things, I.e., whether the things are specific or unspecific.

Example of Articles:

  • This is a car.
  • The sun is shining bright.
  • Take an orange.

Kinds of Articles

When we talk about articles, then they are of two types:

1. Definite Article:

  • One can say that 'The' comes in the definite article.
  • As it tells about the specific things.

1. Indefinite Article:

  • One can say that 'A' & 'An' come in the indefinite article.
  • As it tells about the unspecific things.

Usage of the articles:

  1. A & An: Use singular nouns.
  2. The: Use specific things.

Prepositions:

The prepositions are the words that help in joining the two sentences. Or it helps in making the sentence meaningful.

Preposition Examples:

  • The boy is standing near the wall.
  • The books are on the table.
  • Go into the river.
  • Put the things in the box.
  • Rani is standing behind the tree.
